Ok, to start things off i have tried everything i could find online and could think of to make my old setup work.. nothing is working.. thus this ask the community post..

Game i play mainly:
League of Legends
Civilization

Old Rig:
Haf X Full ATX
Asus Striker Extreme
Q6600
256GB SSD
2x 8600 GTS SLI
16GB Corsair Dominator Gamer 1033 DDR2

What happened first:
Computer has been bogging down during gaming causing the FPS to drop to single digits causing computer to freeze resulting in reboot..
No overheating conditions as system is extremely well cooled..

Was recommended to buy a new GPU as was told my GPU was old and probably dieing..

Bought: EVGA GTX 660 SC

What happed secondly:
Shut down the computer as i leave it on 24/7 due to in past sometimes would be moody and not boot the first time after shutting it down..

carefully removed old GPU's and installed single new GPU..

Plugged in and tried to boot up. nothing.. everything lights up like normal but no display..
Boot Post LCD on MOBO shows 111111111

I been looking over some possible upgrades and read that even the new AMD cpu's are garbage comared to Intel's older units.. so this is what i am asking if its decent or should i look elsewhere..

GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H

I5-3570Khttp://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2373004&sku=I69-3570K

Corsair Vengeance http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=40739&sku=C13-5720

Or....

Buy new Socker 775 MOBO and replace everything over to it...

Solution
Well, just decided i needed up and running so i took my unit to local tiger direct cause news paper add stated i get free diagnostics if i purchase $50...

Long story short, was forced to upgrade...

`Tested power supply everything was good...
`Tech used different powersupply no change
`Tech tried different memmory no change

So he stated it has to be the motherboard..
`installed new motherboard with old Q6600 no change
`tried 2nd new motherboard with no change..
`installed a dual core cpu he had in the back.. computer booted..
`installed dual core cpu on old asus striker extreme... no boot

So just bought a new CPU/Motherboard/Ram
CPU: Intel I5-3570K $219.99
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-DS3H $89.99 + $20.00 MIR = $69.99
Memory: Corsair...

You can always buy another e6600, or a cheaper processor temporarily, but if you wanna go ahead and do a new build now go ahead and start a new build with the outlined guidelines under the Systems forum section:

^^ Yeah, I would fix the problem first as well. Try running your old configuration with the 8600GTS and if that doesn't work then its probably a mobo or PSU problem. If its your mobo then either buy a cheap LGA 775 board on ebay or just upgrade to a Z77/3570K. There's also a chance it could be your memory causing it so possibly run memtest86+ to check for bad ram.
