i knocked over a cup before this happened but it's hard to believe that it caused it because the cup definitely did not hit the monitor hard, maybe this was caused by a drop of water on the monitor that i didn't clean?

a pink line came up 1/5 up the bottom of the screen, branched in 3-4 lines at the bottom. i read that applying slight pressure might help, but it widened instead. is this an internal leak or dead pixels? i am running a pixel flashing app now but i don't know if it will help.

can it be fixed/repaired? i also would like to know where else i could post this in hardware forums by suggestion, thanks in advance

here's a photo of the area where it got spread:

thanks for the quick response, i don't think it's water though, the line spread up the whole screen and it widened where it originally was. i've been told it was cracked though i don't know how that would happen. the line is mostly pink, the zoomed in part helps us understand that it's the red and blue mixing with the lack of green pixels, in some areas where it spread it's blue. before it spread, i saw that it had gone up an inch and on the next day it was accross the whole screen. in some areas of the newly formed line it was perforated and later the same day it was perforated in a different area. i know it's not from the cable because when it is unplugged the pixels are still visible when black screen with "no connection" shows. any suggestions?
