Firstly i hope i have written this in the right place if not i am very sorry.

Secondly, I have decided with the new range of consoles it is time to jump ship and get a Gaming Pc.
From what i hear it is cheapest to build one yourself so that's what i am going try and do. But i have experience with what parts are gonna do what things. So im looking for advice for a computer without moniter etc. around the £350.
I have found this video online and i was wondering is this computer gonna play games like COD BOII, Battlefield3/4, Arma2/3 and DayZ at reasonable Fps and nice-ish graphics?

1GB XFX Radeon HD 7770
Intel Pentium G850, Socket 1155, Dual Core, 2.90GHz
LiteOn IHAS124-04 24x DVD±R
Fractal Design Core 1000
500W Storm Silent LPJ19-25
MSI H61M-P31 (G3) Motherboard
4GB Corsair Value DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333)
500GB Seagate ST500DM002 Barracuda SATA 6Gb/s, 7200rpm

Any Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Yes, you will be able to play those games, but don't expect on high. If your monitor is 1366x768 or 1600x900 then you should be able to get good game play on Medium for BF3.

If you can spend more on your GPU then do so, it'll help the gamer performance the most.

Overall, for your budget, I think you are making good choices.

Personally I would bin the Intel cpu. (low end are not particularly good for gaming) Consider AMD for budget builds - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-2.html You will need to change your motherboard but that's not a big deal.
If it is within your budget up the RAM to 8GB.
Possibly change the Graphics card to an Nvdia 650ti, there isn't much difference between the 650ti and the 7770 though.

With a half decent multi core cpu and a half decent graphics card you should be able to play most games, admittedly not with all the shiny features turned on but then you are entering £1000 PC territory if you want that ;)
Defo put 8GB RAM if you can afford (plus the O/S has to be 64bit), it will improve gaming / windows performance a lot.

When you are flush put an SSD in your PC as your OS drive. Boot up in 15secs and loading 1st into a game is always nice :)

Check the link I put in my reply above.
Best Gaming CPU's under $100 according to Tom's = Phenom II X4 965 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103727
A compatible motherboard would be something like this - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130637
I just purchased an Nvidia 660ti ($290) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125441 ($290)
I just put all settings to maximum shiny @1080p and go play :)
When using a higher end video card you need a higher end power supply as well, a dedicated 12v rail and about 600w output should do.

My pc build as an example http://www.ebuyer.com/lists/list/160307

If you are on a budget, you don't really need 8GB of ram. Few games if any use 8GB of ram. Some only use a max of 4GB and you can always add more ram later.

Even though Phenom II X4 is a great low budget cpu, the problem is down the road for upgrades. Intel cpus(LGA 1155s) are more expensive but with the mobo combinations will allow you to get a better cpu in the future without having to buy a new mobo. That is what really makes PC gaming a good value is to be able to upgrade a piece or two at a time. But if you only have a certain amount of money at this time then go for the AMD cpu.

In terms of ARMA 2/3 and DayZ, you meet the recommended specs. http://www.arma3.com/buy#requirements ARMA likes a good cpu.

Read up on the reviews of PSUs. I favor FSP(Fortron, Sparkle Power) PSUs since they actually make their own PSUs and make them for many other companies. I have had some of the PSUs last for 10 years(I build and repair computers for schools and charity and use old parts).

Happy gaming, the Prisoner.

Hmm forum ate my post!
As I put before, 4gb is totally fine, especially on a budget. Performance will increase with 8gb as it is not just the game using the memory but windows also uses a big chunk, plus teamspeak, steam, chrome, etc etc all adds up. Using 8gb means the PC doesnt have to page data back and forth to the HDD thus making things faster. Plus 8gb is cheap as hell so why not.. 16gb is overkill though as I have found out ;)

Thanks for all the responses

I have taken into account i'll need windows 7 or somthing similar.
Also if i wanted to get a different mobo that would allow me to upgrade in the future what would you advise that would be a similar price. And do i also need to get a differnent cpu then?

The AMD CPU I listed is socket AM3. AMD went down the route of forward and backward compatability with their sockets so you should be good for a while. The new socket type for AMD (FM2) is for the APU based cpu's but the performance is not the same as the AM3 CPU's.
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/352207-28-socket
Intel are a different matter, socket 1155 should be around for a good while yet however socket 2011 is now making headway and the 2 are not compatible.
TLDR - Socket AM3 will be around for ages.

sorry i am terrible at this stuff :S

Mobo:A55ML2 Ver. 7.x
CPU:Athlon II X4 640

And would it be upgradable in the future +simliar price to before.

Im a bit confused, you have the Athlon II 640 already? That is a socket AM3.
If you leave the current motherboard in your system, upgrade the CPU to a Phenom II X4 965 it should drop right in as it is the same socket type. Saves you buying a new mobo :)

Sorry to confuse you its just i have little idea of what im doing.

I have no components at the minute. So if i want to get a better CPU i should get the Athlon II X4 640 and it will work with my original motherboard.

Will this be a noticeable difference to my system and will i also need to buy a CPU fan

Aha I see!
K, so if you buy the Phenom II X4 965 (this is the CPU that Tom's HW reccomend as best bang for buck, Not the Athlon II X4 640)
Both of these CPU's are AM3 socket.
Future AMD CPU's will also be AM3, for a few years anyhoo. FM2 is their latest socket but as I linked above that combines a graphics chipset onto the cpu and that's not what you are after.

So you could buy the above Athlon II X4 640 and motherboard, then upgrade as cost allowed to the latest AM3 CPU, such as http://www.ebuyer.com/409184-amd-fx-8350-4ghz-socket-am3-16mb-cache-retail-boxed-processor-fd8350frhkbox without having to change the motherboard.

As I said before though, best bang for buck in your budget is the Phenom II X4 965 NOT the Athlon II X4 640.

I have never bought a CPU without a cooler but then I have always bought Retail CPU's not OEM (system builder).
Some OEM stuff comes without cables etc under the assumption you will have plenty.
If the CPU has no fan then something like http://www.ebuyer.com/176157-arctic-cooling-freezer-7-pro-rev-2-socket-775-1156-1155-1366-ac-frz-7pr2 is very good and costs £16.
Make sure you have a couple of sata cables ordered and some thermal paste just in case!

I would also strongly suggest checking youtube for some how to guides before you start.
Something like this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iiDX2QwGmQ

Thank you

So my original setup with the Phenom II X4 965 CPU will work fine.

And most CPUs will fit in the motherboard (MSI H61M-P31 (G3)) so if in two or three years if i want to upgrade, i could put most CPUs in the motherboard.

Sorry about my confusing its just im just trying to invest for now and the future.

This is a great rig for the price. XFX makes awesome cards that are both inexpensive, and powerful.

However, if I had to choose, I'd go with the GTX 560 TI over the 7770.

The GTX 560 TI runs in at about 150 bucks depending on where you can get it. And it vastly out performs the HD 7770 which comes in around 120 bucks. (American USD )

The G850 is incredibly powerful. It out performs most Core 2 Quad CPU's and can perform on the same level as the lower core i 3 processors.

But if I had a few dollars extra, I'd go with the G2120 until I could afford a mid range i5 core processor. But with today's super processors, your most important decision comes to down to graphics cards. The G850 is more than capable of playing any game you throw at it.

You can check out magicmicro.com for their custom PC builds that would definitely fit into your budget.
