Hi I am almost finished with looking for parts for a computer and ready to buy, but I have a question I need answering before I do: For my budget, £750-800 which CPU would be better for my build?

AMD A10-5800K Quad Core APU (3.8GHz) & Radeon HD 7660D Graphics
(ASUS® F2A85-M: (M-ATX, DDR3, USB 3.0, 6Gb/s)

OR

Intel® Core i5 Quad Core Processor i5-3570 (3.4GHz) 6MB Cache
(ASUS® P8H77-M: M-ATX, DDR3, USB 3.0, SATA 6.0Gb/s, CrossFireX)

With the AMD I would get a free copy of Sim City (Which is a game I want to play) and with my budget with the AMD I can afford the nVidia GTX 660 TI while with the i5 3570 I could only afford the GTX 660. Both builds would use 8GB SAMSUNG DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz (2 X 4GB) with a 450w PSU.

I will be playing games in 1920x1080 so which would be better for my computer? :)

P.S. Would the AMD CPU bottleneck the 660 TI? (I am new to this so I'm not too sure)

Are you sure that's the budget? You should be able to get plenty better with that budget.

Anyway, I'd rather go with a FX 6300 because it is AM3 + and you can go on to upgrade to the next FX chips.

But for the sake of answering the question, you're better off with the AMD/660ti

Sorry typo on budget, (£750-800) changed on OP :)

AMD FX-6350 Six Core CPU (4.2/3.9GHZ - 8MB CACHE/AM3+)
(ASUS® M5A97 R2.0(DDR3, USB3.0, 6Gb/s)

would be as good as the i5? with this I would have to go with the gtx 660 non-TI

The i5 is better, although at 1080p not by much. I think you should prioritize the GPU. Go with the 660 TI and then choose the best CPU you could get, the AMD 5800k is a very good CPU and brings one of the best values among all CPUs currently on the market.

Ok that sounds good, but would the AMD 5800K bottleneck the 660 TI?
