I am building a gaming pc for 'the future', by which I mean to be good and not be too out of date in 2 years. The i7 3770k can run any game on ultra with good GPU and RAM, but will games in the near future need a better CPU, I know you are not fortune tellers, but if you could give me some gaming CPU advice it would be great

I believe the 3770k, even the 3570k is future-proof already, when you consider that at 1080p only GPU's can hold it back. 3 yrs from now, an Overclocked 3570k should still contend with the top CPUs. I don't think you'll need to upgrade from it until DDR 4 becomes mainstream.

..that future proof sentence is totally wrong in this field!there is no such thing nobody knows as new things come out all the times!also 3770k for gaming its such a waste the 3570k is way more preferable for gaming!in case you use the 3770k for some rendering purposes than yes but only for gaming is such a waste!so you get the 3570k(able to oc)save your money and put them is graphics card or something!

i7 3930k is definitely a waste of money for gaming.
i5 3770k is better than i5 3570k but most games can not gain advantage on i7 3770k, they perform relative similar on both.
i5 3570k is already enough for most games and if you really want Hyper-Threading than i7 3770k is enough.
i7 3770k is still much-much cheaper than i7 3930k ...and... 2011 mobos in general are relative more expensive compared to 1155 mobos.

Note:
Crysis 3 is by far one of the few games which gain advantage of having more threads/cores. Meaning, Crysis 3 gains advantage on i7 3770k.
