USB Chipsets. Help

Hi everyone. I've noticed in my usb hub in device manger that my Pc do not have usb chipsets. Does any one know maybe how I can can get a chipset usb or must I download drivers. Can you also explain to me what is a chipset in Usb terms..
My mother board is the Gigabyte X58- 3.0 usb.

Hi, The board has two chipsets: one for USB 2.0. integrated in the South Bridge and one (NEC) for USB 3.0.
For NEC, you have to install the driver: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3571#dl
Chipset - is an IC that controlls/handles the data transfer/communication from and to the USB ports.

1) Your MB probably has a NEC chipset to support USB2/3 devices.

(Mine, Asrock Z68, has a ETRON EJ168A chipset).

2) Chipsets:
.. You have many different chipsets for different devices shuch as Sound (mine uses a Realtek ALC892), Ethernet. These chipsets act a a bridge (Input-output) device -> system.
.. For USB3.0. Intel did NOT have a native chipset for USB3 until their "7" series MBs, so Mother board manuf use a "3rd party chipset"

On Drivers, Windows 7 has "default" drivers for the vast majority of chipsets found on MB So Most functions work. However in many cases the MB manuf have drivers that are optimized for their MB for these chipsets.

Go to the Gigabyte Website and select support for Your specific MB (Do not use the link I provide). You will find drivers, software, and Bios updates.

MORE to the Point, are you having a problem recognizing, reading/ writing to USB devices???

I did try installign the drivirs, but it seems for me no luck or im just doing it very wrong.
I my usb 2.0 in my MB have no chipsets at all. I can seems to spot it in my device manger. All my USB device work fine except one, it the pro flight yoke from saitek. The problem is that the yoke goes into sleep mode after 10-15 min and does not wake up. Even when I use it does it. I Did go into my usb setting and un ticked the box where win 7 must not switch switch off my device to safe power. The device works on my laptop with no problem. But the difference is that my lapto have 2 usb chipset ( I saw in my device manger) So im guesing it might be due to the chipset.
Can you maybe tell me what driver I must download and maybe how if you know. Thank You.

The Driver on Gigabyte's webpage is 2 1/2 years old.
Your MB manual shows this as a NEC D720200F1 chipset.
Nec Was bought (or is part of RENESAS)

Indicates the newest driver is dtd 17/10/2012.
I would try that one. - It's for XP->Win8 and contains both 32 bit & 64 bit code.
