Hi!

I need help choosing components best suited for recording and rendering videos for YouTube.

I'm willing to pay 0-600 DKK (which is around 104 USD)

First of all i have a serious issue. When i record the video randomly starts to make a huge framedrop. After 5 minutes of recording the video goes from 30 fps (which are my standard settings) to around 8.
While i record, the game itself runs at 60 fps but when i see my recording status, it goes very uneven.

FYI i have about 80 gigs left and maybe that causes the problem.

Here's my question:

Should i switch to SSD or a larger HDD? Would it make me record more even?

Which components are the best to buy when it comes to recording/rendering?

Thanks in advance!

Asger

When capturing (game play especially) its ideal to have the program writing to a secondary drive. Otherwise you are writing LARGE amounts of capture data and trying to read game data at the same time. Ideally, the drive you're stream is going to should be a large, fast drive (7200 RPM)

Thanks for your reply!

So what i have to do is NOT to use my main drive?
I hope my external hard drive can handle it.
