Hello all...
First of all, I thank in advance to all of you who spend some of your time reviewing my questions and try to answer and help me...
I am practically new on this stuff and have the following problems...
I just build a new PC with the following specifications...
Enclosure: COOLER MASTER ELITE 431 PLUS RC-431P-KWN2 USB 3.0
Mother Board: ASUS M5A97 4XDDR3 PCIEX16 USB3 ATX AM3+
CPU: AMD FX-SERIES X8 8320 3.5GHZ 125W 16MB AM3+
GPU: ASUS HD6670-2GD3 2GB DDR3 PCIE2.1 128BIT
RAM: 2 x DDR3 KINGSTON HYPERX BLU 4GB 1600MHZ (KHX1600C9D3B1/4G)
HDD: SEAGATE 1TB SATA III 7200 RPM ST1000DM003 64MB
SSD: SSD ADATA S511 120GB SATA III 2.5"
Optical: DVD WRITER LG GH24NS95 24X SUPERMULTIDRIVE D LAYER SATA 2MB
Power Supply: ACTECK AF-B600P 600W
SO: Windows 7 OEM Professional 64-bits (installed on the SSD)
(Everything connected to my Samsung LED 3D Smart TV via HDMI)
Additionally:
- The case included one 120mm fan on the front/bottom to bring air in.
- The power supply inculde one fan to extract air and do not allow the hot air from it to enter to the case.
- I installed one 120mm fan on the top/rear connected by molex to bring air in.
Everything seems to work fine, PC boots in 5-10 secs, all devices seem to work okay. After installing the SO and the divers for my GPU from the DVD, the first thing I tried was games.
I tried BF3 and NFSMW. But in no more than 3 minutes, my PC shuts down and I can't turn it on again unless I turn off and then turn on the power supply switch. At this moment I should mention that I noticed one of the leds of the M/B keeps on and the LAN Port LED keeps blinking (until of course I turn off/on the power supply switch).
I also se a couple of videos on Youtube and everything seem ok, but I didn't keep too much time watching at those.
I even played Portable AoE II (the old version, not the HD) and everything seemed to be good, but again, I didn't spend too much time playing.
When I tried to see a movie on Netflix, the problem also repeated. I couldn't even had the chance to see the firs frame, it was loading, almost to start the video but, the PC did shutdown.
I tried a program to monitor temeperatures and the highest it registered was 48°C, it's supposed that the threshold to shutdown the CPU is 90°C (as I read). I used this program alongside a benchmark and the highest temperature still was 48°C.
My SO gives me a score of 6.8 out of 7.9 for my build. I don't remember very well my individual scores but they were something like 7.7, 7.7, 7.7, 6.8, 6.8 and 7.9. The lower scores were for the 3D<something> and the other for another thing also related to the graphics (I think).
However, when running the benchmark or asking my SO to re evaluate my system and provide me a new score. Sometimes it finished successfully, and sometimes my PC shuts down while in the process.
I don't notice that my system gets hot. The case don't feels hot and the environment inside the case do not feels hot either.
What can be my problem? A bad build? A bad configuration? Power Supply too small? Not enough fans (air flow)?
Can somebody please help me? I really build this PC to play games and it seems that is the only thing I can't do!! =( (plus not being able to see videos of course).
I would really appreciate any help provided.
Thanks masters!!
