Hello everyone new to the forum! Don't know much about computers.

But my father in law, owns a Dell Xps. Not sure what version, not sure where to look to tell you guys. I've spent 2 days trying to figure out how to fix my problem my self, reading forums and trying things.

So here is the problem. For some reason whoever gave the laptop to him, had two operating systems on it. Xp Sp2 and Fedora. I felt the computer was going slow and operating sluggish because of this other operating system. So I removed it and reinstalled Xp. But now that I've reinstalled Xp, I can't connect to the Internet through wireless. I wasn't able to connect it through an Ethernet cord either but after updating a driver I was able to. But now it won't even connect through a line.

So my question is, does anyone know of a tutorial that I can reinstall Xp with all the right updated drivers so it works normally. Or can I receive some help on how to get all the drivers updated now. The computer is only being used by me currently. I am only using it to play games.

I am not sure what other information I should put up here but if you let me know I can try my best to get it to you.

Any help is appreciated I am willing to try anything. Thanks!!

Using a computer with access to the internet, search the model number of the laptop and search for xp drivers pretataining to the model number of the laptop. Put all the newest drivers on a flash drive(usb stick), then install them on the laptop to solve your issues.

it can be on a cd but flash drives i find are easier and faster then burning a cd. Usually on the bottom of the laptop on a sticker it will say dell xps-and the numbers after corrospond with the model number of the xps you have
