Parts to Upgrade: upgrade from i5 650, stock mobo that came with it, psu (using a ocz 500w atm) ram want at least 8Gb. ( not upgrading case ( just bought one supports atx and micro atx) gpu HD 7850 and hdd)

I apologise. I currently have an i5 650, 500gb hhd, a mid tower supports atx and microatx, hd 7850, 4gb ram, medion stock mobo and a 500 w psu.

I would like to upgrade my cpu, mobo, ram, heatsink and psu if necessary.

Only if you want to overclock i'd recommend getting aftermarket cooler. Though, not a 'k' model, 3470 still overclocks a bit. If you get into that and you're not satisfied with temps you can change cooler later. For now the standard will do.
Now if you have already been using power suply for several years, the components inside deteriorate by the time and now you might be having 400w psu. If it's recently bought, you're fine.
