I have an old Dell 4550 and am wondering if there is a way to install WiFi so I can connect to the RCN WiFi that is in the house I currently live in.

2 options:
1) Buy a USB WiFi adapter. Just plug in a free USB slot and should work fine.
2) Buy a PCIe WiFi adapter. You plug it in a free PCI-e slot in your MoBo.

Whichever one you pick should work fine though typically, the 2nd option works better.

Thanks so much for your help.. what is a MoBo?
The 2nd option is installing inside the PC where the mother board and RAM would be?
You can see I am fairly new to this although I did install expanded RAM.

Sorry, MoBo is short for Motherboard (not standard at all its just what I use).

Yes, you install it inside the PC. PCI-e is a slot in the motherboard. Its just like Ram. You plug it in the appropriate slot. Make sure the antenna are outside of your PC (should work out that way anyway if you plug it in correctly).
