I have a Toshiba Satellite A215 running Vista. Occasionally my computer does not connect to the Internet using our network wireless router when the computer is started up. I sometimes lose the Internet connection while I am connected to it. Frequently the browser disconnects and then reconnects to the Internet.

How can figure out what is causing the problem? My son does not have any problems with PC or cell phone.

Thank you,
Sam

whats the signal you're getting while connected to it? have you checked the radio card (should have a little hatch on the bottom of your computer and you'll see a small sma cable plugged into the card, make sure everything is plugged in properly, sometimes they get jostled and can affect your network performance)

I had this problem as well, constant reconnecting. After thinking it was the modem router and/or laptop. Finally I decided that the signal obviously was having issues getting through a wall or 2. My computer is halfway down the hall in the bedroom. I went and hung the modem/router on the wall in the hall. [after a bit of ingenuity] antennas pointing to the ceiling. That was 4 days ago and my laptop haven't disconnected since, and is fine in all rooms of the house now.
Worth a try if you can do it.
