The cheap LCD monitor i'm using now is showing its age, and I'm interested in picking up a 120hz monitor since I have an overclocked 7950 to back it. Most of the information and recommendations I've found are from 2012 and 2011, and I was wondering what my options are now that we're in mid-2013. I will be using it primarily for gaming, and I'd like to keep it at or below 24" if possible.

One thing I am looking for specifically is a screen that isn't reflective. The room this monitor will be used in is set up in such a way that any reflective screen will look like a mirror, which is very distracting unless I set the brightness and contrast to eye-searing levels.

Thanks for the help!

The reviews indicate that the colors of the monitor degrade at higher refresh/frame rates. Is this a noticeable issue? There's also a number of complaints about backlight bleed, is it a serious problem with the monitor?

Since you are used to a cheap lcd monitor i think even this tn panel will be an upgrade in color for you. Color correction is not directly associated with refresh rate. it is associated with the type of panel like ips or tn or pls etc. tn<ips<pls color accuracy wise. but tn is best for gaming. there are no 120hz ips or pls monitors out.
