Laptop/Motherboard Temperature: Lower???

Hi, I have a Compaq Presario CQ60 and the bottom of it felt very hot (especially by the fan.) I used a program called Speccy to figure out the temperature and it seems that the motherboard is running in the high 70 degree Celsiuses. Is there any way I can lower it, does it affect the system in any major way??

Try getting compressed air, or some other way of blowing air into the laptop and try and get out as much dust as possible. Especially near the fan. Other than that, you can't do much for laptops
