Sapphire HD 7870 OC Version Low FPS

Hello,

I recently bought a gaming rig, my first build, also coming off console.
AMD Phenom ii X4 965 BE
HD 7870 Sapphire OC
WD 1TB HDD
Corsair Vengeance 1x8 1600mhz

My question is how much FPS should I get in BF3. On big maps like EG and AK maps I only get around 45-55fps. Settings ultra 2xmsaa 8xaa 1600x900. Is this normal or should it be higher? I have all the recent drivers. No overclocking.

I appreciate any help I get!

Looks normal to me, my 7950 gets around the 60 fps mark on ultra with 1080p. If you want to try and boost it then get MSI afterburner and try some overclocking.

Also make sure you have the latest AMD drivers and do a *clean* install, the best way is to download the driver cleaner app from the AMD website, then keep uninstalling the driver from the device manager until Windows sees it as a generic device. Then install the new driver.
