I built my computer about a year and a half ago i have a SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support currently that has failed me. My motherboard is a ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS, with a AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor FD6100WMGUSBX... i want to go with a nvidia chip set graphics card but when i first built it i asked around and everyone i asked said that it is a sin to mix amd with nvidia or ati chip sets... but then i read around online and im seeing its not like what they are saying... i play bf3 and will be playing bf4 when it comes out... i want to play on full setting...

the rest of my main computer specs
Rosewill BLACKHAWK Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Crucial Ballistix 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
two 64gb ssds and a 850w power supply
windows 7 64bit home

i think that i got a faulty card from the get go, because i have never been able to have my setting above medium in any game and people i play with that have cards at the time have had cards from 3 years older then the radeon hd 6870, were playing games like WoW on ultra with no problems and their fps were between 60-100... but seeing this was my first time really building a computer i went with people near me that i was able to talk to about it and they said it might have been a psu issue, so i upgraded from a 650w to a 850w and still have the problems and lately they have been getting worse, like shutting off and freezing in game..
