Hi all;
My friend has asked me to build her a computer for uni, she has a screen, mouse and keyboard, she is looking for a full setup including software that will be FAST and capable of video editing.

As well as the essentials for a uni student (movies, Facebook and twitter) :)

As you can imagine she is not a millionaire so this will be a fairly budget build.

I have thrown a few things together just wondering your thoughts.

(I am from Australia so new-egg and amazon are out) I usually use www.pccasegear.com;

CoolerMaster CM 690 II Advanced with Window USB3.0
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-D3 Motherboard
AMD 1090T (I have one at home she can have for free)
Antec High Current Gamer 620W Power Supply HCG-620
ASUS Radeon HD7850 DirectCU II 2GB V2
Lite-On IHBS312 12x Blu-Ray Disc Writer
G.Skill Ares F3-1600C9D-8GAO 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit with SP1 OEM
Microsoft Office 2013 Home and Student Retail Pack
Kaspersky Anti Virus 2013 - 1 User, 2 Year Retail

The graphics card might be a little much.....

Any thoughts?

If she is planning on using it for video editing then what editing software is she going to use? Depending on the program she uses to edit I doubt the graphics card will be overkill. If, and I not saying it will, the 8GB of RAM proves to be inadequate for editing will the motherboard support 16GB? If she is serious about video editing then you may want to consider adding a second hard for the video project files (including clips) as performance will be better if the files are not stored on the same drive as the OS and editing program. Keep in mind that the processor plays a key role in editing and rendering.
