This is really the first time that I am going all out and building a computer from the ground up. I have selected the parts and just wanted to make sure that they will all be compatible with each other. Also, if you guys have any advice on other computer parts or any hints, that would be great. I plan on overclocking the cpu to about 4.5 Ghz and running some of the newer games like Far Cry 3 and the upcoming Battlefield 4 on a 32 in. TV screen. Thanks for your help!

Processor - Intel i5-3570k
Motherboard - ASUS Sabertooth z77
Video Card - Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870
RAM - Corsair Vengeance (2x4GB) 1600
Power Supply - Corsair HX Series 850 watt
Case - Coolermaster HAF 932
Cooling System - Corsair Hydro Series H100
Other - 2 x Western Digital 500GB HDD
Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB
ASUS 24x DVD Burner
Windows 7 Professional OEM

You can easily overclock the 95 to 4.2ghz on air cooling from the 4.5ghz that you want, and you wont even see 1FPS difference. So here is what I recommend

Drop the 850w power supply. Bring it down to 550-600w.
Drop the Asus sabertooth motherboard. Bring it down to an Asrock Extreme 6 motherboard
Use the money you save to get a 7950

If willing, drop the H100 down to a hyper 212 Evo
Then use the extra money to get from 7950 to 7970 or gtx 670.

You will get far better gaming performance by doing that

i agree with caydn; i'd also cut the HAF, that case is enormous. a GTX660Ti is reasonable as well, as is a 7850. also, one 1Tb HD is plenty as you have a SSD for system use, and the other for storage.

what i would however seriously consider, is a 23" low-latency gaming monitor. a TV screen will never give you the same smoothness and resolution.

Thanks for your advice. I went ahead and dropped the h100 and went for the hyper 212 evo since I don't have to overclock it that high. I also dropped the psu down to 650w and those both saved me a total of about $180 :) While looking at the Asrock Extreme 6 on Newegg, it seems that about 20% of the people are getting faulty boards so I'm a little hesitant to switch to that motherboard. Also, I was looking at the Extreme 4 and it doesn't appear to have anything different but no PCI 2.0 connectors, which I won't use. So, would that board be a good one to go with too?

The Extreme 4 I honestly think is the best "bang for buck" board ive ever seen for z77s. It offers a HUGE arsenal of features for its price. I think the Extreme 6 can overclock a little further, but since overclocking past 4.2ghz is not necessary whatsoever it would work fine. Just try and get the best graphics card you can without compromising the quality of the rest of your build. That is what matters in a gaming pc build.
However, I disagree. I say take that HAF 932!

The reason being: You cannot future proof anything in a computer, Except for its cause. That HAF 932 will last you at least 10 years if you treat it right (unless everyone starts rocking quantum computers in the next 10 years and/or the ATX design dies off. Which isnt likely).

Ok, so I officially decided to go with the Asrock Extreme4 but due to the fact that it doesn't have many fan ports, I am also adding the NZXT Sentry Mesh Fan Controller. For the case, if the HAF 932 is too big, should I go with a more mid size tower like the Antec Nine Hundred Mid Tower? Will it have enough room and sufficient cooling?

You will enjoy a fan controller a lot. Removes the hassel of getting fan controlling software, and you just turn a dial, or whatever to control the fan speed.

Just go with the HAF 932. I mean cmon, it fits budget, and when you need to upgrade you wont need to buy a new case because you will already have a kick @$$ case!!!
