I have the DCII card and when looking at specs for it i knew i was only getting a card that was roughly 915 base clock with a 980 boost clock. I loaded up precision x and gpu-z and have seen my boost clock go as high as 1084. And its base is more like 940. I havent touched any OC'ing features only made a fan profile. I'm curious as why im getting more than what i paid for, for once lol

Other specs
I5 2500k OC @ 4.4ghz
Corsair ax850 psu
Gskill ram 4x4 @1600
Agility 4 ssd 256gb
Asrock professional fatality z68

It's very common for Turbo Boost clocks to regularly exceed their rated maximum. In fact, the GPU-Z value given for the Turbo Boost is more like a guaranteed minimum.

Not sure why your base clock is at 940 MHz as that doesn't correspond to the specs for any Asus GTX 670 model they have listed. I guess you should enjoy one of those rare times when you got something extra for nothing. Now you should take it a step further and overclock it a bit yourself.
