I am a young professional opera singer, however my passion when I am not performing on stage is audio engineering. My old dell laptop I have been working out of as a Digital Audio Workstation is falling apart, and slow. It has begun to interfere with the quality of my recordings. I decided to build my first PC and optimize it for that specific workset.
I don't plan on playing any games off of this desktop, and my Audio Software will take advantage of 8 cores. So, the FX processors from AMD and a cheaper video card seemed like logical decisions. I want this thing to be ferrari fast, but not in graphics, just everywhere else! Here is the list of components I have assembled. Keep in mind that this is my first time even thinking about building a PC, and some of these components may not play well with each other. That is what I would like your help on! Feel free to make suggestions with the aforementioned workset in mind. My goal is to keep the rig under 850-900 dollars.
