Can turtle beach headsets work on my tv

I have an hd tv and I was wanting to get some turtle beach headsets will they work like any other headphones. There is a headphone plug on the side of my tv will they work if I plug them into that.

It depends on which Turtle beach headset you get so it will be have to be a headset(non usb) with a 3.5mm stereo headset plug. You will only get stereo sound. Do you plan on using the headsets for anything else besides plugging into a TV?
