Terrible Upload Speeds.

So I've currently been uploading quite a few videos to Youtube as of late and I've come to realize my upload speed is just way too slow. I'm uploading higher quality stuff and I have to just start the upload before bedtime.

My internet connection is 8 Mbps Down and .85 up (tested multiple times through speedtest) and it's supposedly the 'best' package my ISP has to offer. It costs me 85 bucks a month to have this service.

Is it maybe possible to convince them to sell me a higher upload even at a decline in download speed or something?

The cost really isn't an issue, I would like to pay less of course -- but if I had the option to pay x amount of dollars for faster upload speeds I most certainly would. But I don't think they offer a business package.

A lot of companies mostly rely on download time speeds as your 'average' person doesn't upload as much as they download.

Try to find a company that offer same download speed as upload. Like 30/30 mbit. It would be the only logic thing to do, when you upload so much to youtube. I myself have been in the same situation as you and I did however get higher speeds from talking to the company that provide me with my network.

It can never hurt to ask.
