Hey everyone, I am having some major difficulty finding a job in the computer/technology position(thread titles). I have a bachelor degree in Engineering Technology and I just cannot find anything, neither low wage/entry/junior/or mid level relating to the fields I studied/wish to join. I want to be working in the computer/technology field, but, how do I get in? From what I told and read online, you start out by doing entry level job or help desk.
But even the lowest tier cannot be easily found, let alone, get me an interview and then a job. So I was thinking, would getting some certification make enough of a difference to boost my chance of landing a job or an interview? I have only been searching for nearly 2 months, so its not extreme, but it is annoying and depressing. The certification I was thinking of was A+ or some of the more basic networking and Microsoft ones. Certification or no? My location is in the Memphis metropolitan area if that matters. Please advise on what I can do to improve my success.
I am sorry if this is posted on the wrong board. Thanks
