Greetings first, this is my first post in a forum and any suggestions would be highly appreciated, also my English isn't the best but I'm still good at English.

The gaming rig I was considering would be:

-Asus Crosshair IV Formula
-AMD Phenom II x4 965 AM3 Black Edition 3.40 Ghz
-Gskill PC3-12800 Ripjaws CL9 1600 MHz DC 8GB
-MSI HD 7870 Twin Frozr OC 2048 MB GDDR5
-Seagate Barracuda 500 GB 7200 RPM SATA III
-Tacens Radix VI 750W 140mm (Tell me if not enough juice)
-Aerocool RS-4 Black
-CoolerMaster Hyper TX 3 (CPU)

Basically that's it! Tell me if I forgot something that's important. I checked and I'm pretty sure the RAM is compatible. Also tell me if there's any possible bottleneck with the cpu.

For a Phenom II x4 965, an expensive Asus Crosshair IV Formula motherboard doesn't make sense.

The power supply looks like low quality. 750W is more than plenty, in fact it's overkill with one graphics card. But a 550W power supply from a reliable brand (eg. Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, XFX) would be better IMO.

Do you think a Phenom II X6 1075T would be better and why wouldnt the X4 be ok? And a Corsair VS550w would be better then. Also I have some fear of memory incompatibility.

A Phenom II x4 965 is a good option if you're looking for a cheap system. An expensive motherboard doesn't fit that purpose.

The Phenom II x6 1075T IMO isn't worth it. It's a better processor, but there are better options if you want something faster than the x4 965. Either an Intel build, or an AMD build with their newer FX processors.

A Corsair VS550W would be alright.
