I have an Hp Pavilion dv7 and an Hp Officjet Pro 8500g printer
out of nowhere, it just wouldn't print. I ran the recommended updates and still no help. The printing goes into queue but nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling etc but keep getting same error messages... No driver found, 0x0000006, 800705B3. I have run the windows repair tool and other Microsoft scan to fix but nothing is working. I have tested my printer on my wireless network here at home from another computer & it works fine. Earlier when running updates, I did have a hard time getting an ATI driver update to work, it kept failing, but it finally updated successfully but that did NOT repair the problem either. I have windows 7 64bit. I am starting to think I need to install a new driver because maybe mine stopped working or is defective. Lastly, when I tried reinstalling my printer, I did reinstall it both ways to wireless network and "local" obviously neither worked. Tried going to HP and Microsoft & was not able to find any help.. but I have no idea what I'm looking for either. PLEASSEEEE HELP! I have been sitting here since yesterday!! THANK YOU!!

Turn off the Print Spooler:
1. Click "Start" (aka Windows Button)
2. Type "services.msc"
3. Press "Enter"
4. Scroll the list until you find "Print Spooler"
5. "Right Click" on it
6. Click "Stop"
Now that the print spooler is stopped you can remove the bad drivers...

Delete your bad drivers:
1. Click "Start" (aka Windows Button)
2. Click "Computer"
3. Double Click the drive labeled "C:"
4. Double Click the "Windows" folder
5. Double Click the "System32" folder
6. Double Click the "spool" folder
7. Double Click the "drivers" folder
8. Look for a folder that contains x86 and one that contains x64
9. Delete both of them
(Note: if you get errors deleting some files in these folders it's because windows or a component is still using those files. Just go into both folders and delete as many files as you can.)

OK, now your bad drivers are gone and you just need to re-install good ones from HP.

Go here for your drivers:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3752459#N189

Final Steps:
1. Download the drivers using the link I provided
2. Install the drivers
3. Reboot your computer (so the print spooler turns back on)

(Note: during the driver installation it may tell you that the print spooler is not running and ask if you want to start it, go ahead and click yes.)

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your quick response. I went through and did all the steps you suggested. Going fine until I got to delete x64 then I got an error saying "folder in use" The action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program close the folder or file and try again.
Only I have no idea where it is open or being used at?????

Don't worry want has it open. just open the folder and look at the files inside. Go through it and delete them in groups and eventually you will hit one or more that won't delete which is fine, your goal is to delete all of the files that you can... so you might have to attempt in groups (which is what I do) or one by one which would take a long time.

Check the Spooler queue, it might be full. If you click the print option then think it hasn't gone to printer, we tend tocontinue clicking until we hear the printer taking action. The printer requires a moment or two to sppol the information prior to printing, the excessive xlixks to print has filled the spooler with copious amounts of junk prints.

Delete or empty the spooler then start again. Avoid play PC game while the printer is printing.

Edit -
The HP Pavillion DV7 is designed for Vista OS, there may not be proper drivers available for it, only generic ones, if you are lucky.

The 8500 Printer does have drivers for Windows 7 x64 (the default is for Vista OS)

You'd need to specify your model number of your Notebook to clarify the actual specifications.

Consider the HP scan for driver updates.
