So I have a AMD Radeon HD 7850, just bought for 200 bucks, works perfectly, just stating this for informational purposes. Now, when I turn my computer on, the entire screen is utilized and looks great in 1920 / 1080, but after a couple of seconds on the desktop, the monitor does a pink flash and resizes it, cutting an inch off the screen and making a black border around the desktop, which makes 1920 resolution look blurry, making me have to size down to the 1680ish resolution. I'd much rather be able to use the full screen like I have been in the past. I'm positive this doesn't have to do with the graphics card because I have used other graphics cards and had the same problem. Is there any thing I can do to fix this? The TV i'm using has two HDMI ports and a VGA, obviously I'm going through an hdmi. It's an RCA, (walmart brand) prob about 5-6 years old, but has worked great in the past.
