First off, my specs. (this is my first build, btw.)
Rosewill RP500-2 PSU 16A and 18A on the 12V rails
MSi 970A-G46
EVGA 660Ti 2GB SC edition, clocked to about 1100mhz at boost.
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition clocked to ~3.8GHz, stock fan.
3GB of DDR3, if that matters.
I need to know if I'm drawing too much power, I read that my CPU draws around 270w at full load, and my GPU draws around 270w at full load, so just there I'm using about 540w of power (I hope that's not a dead giveaway, otherwise I'd look pretty dumb), and that doesn't include peripherals.
I can run almost everything maxed out, but it DOES blue screen occasionally, I've run CCleaner's registry cleaner, done an sfc/scannow in safe mode, run a "Take Ownership" on my driver folder, but it still blue screens occasionally.
I just want to know how to tell if my PSU is making enough power (doubt it), and if I should upgrade or not.
EVGA says that on an average build, you should have a 500w PSU but I overclock everything.
