Hi I have an old cd drive from a Dell dimension 5250.
I was wondering if it will work on my new setup. Will i need to get new cables?

A CD drive that old will be IDE (PATA) and although there are adapters that will let you connect an IDE device to a SATA port, for about the same amount of money, a new SATA optical drive can be purchased. I'd recommend a new SATA optical drive rather than trying to use the old optical drive
