Hello,
A few days ago I bought a new monitor because my old one was broken. It worked completely fine until, well, now. The monitor I have is SyncMaster S22B300B, with a native resolution of 1920x1080. And it worked fine up until today. Yesterday, no problems at all. This morning, I turn my PC on, and I notice the resolution is wrong. I check the resolution and somehow it was set on 1440x900, and the max I could set it was 1600x900. I decide to reinstall my drivers, so I start downloading them. While I was doing that I reinstalled my monitor drivers which I had on CD to see will that fix it. I restarted my computer, and there it was, the native resolution. I put it on native resolution, but the screen looked very wrong. First of all, the letters and everything looked very blurry. Then, the screen was somehow flickering, I don't know how to explain it very well. Sort of shaking and stuff. I go to Properties and in the "Screen refresh rate" it says "29 Hertz, Interlaced", while before (I think) it was 60 Hertz.
I reinstalled my graphic card drivers but that didn't help at all. Same thing. I get this flickering on my native resolution and 1680x1050, while lower resolutions have normal refresh rate of 60 Hertz. In the Catalyst Control Center, when I go to desktop properties, there too I can't change the refresh rate for the native resolution. Max is 30 hertz. The control panel also says that my monitor is a "CRT, Analog" and in Properties (VGA Display) it says "Not supported"..
Also, my graphic card is Radeon HD6950.
Thank you in advance.
