Hi,

This is my first post,

I recently built my own PC and bought myself a new mouse to celebrate (Corsair M65). The PC runs fine except my mouse randomly switches off, sometimes it will last all day without any problems and other times it will do it every 20 mins or so.

It's a wired mouse, also once it's switched itself off plugging into other usb ports has no effect. I have to restart my pc sometimes several times to get it to come on. I have noticed that when my PC goes into sleep mode it often causes the mouse to switch off.

I'm currently at work (don't tell my boss hehe) i've brought my mouse with me so far it hasnt been any trouble. This makes me wonder it's maybe the motherboard?

So you know,
I've contacted Corsair and they have requested me to return the mouse for replacement, I just wanted to make sure it wasnt my PC which was the problem and not waste their time.

Here's my PC spec;

Asrock Extreme 4 Z77
Intel I5 I3570k
Corsair 8GB DDR3 XMS3
Corsair 850W Power Supply (can't remember model)
Corsair SSD (can't remember model)
Asus 660 GTX OC Edition

Make sure you are running the latest firmware. I have never really heard anything like this happen with the M65.

It could be related to the USB port and power it is putting out. Are you able to bring it home and test it for awhile? Can you update the USB drivers at work? Also try a different port on the board that uses a different USB controller.
