Hi I currently have a sapphire amd radeon hd 7950 and im planning to upgrade to 7970. I just want to know if it is worth it.

Will there be a significant improvement?

Or should I stay with 7950 until it cannot run the games anymore..

Thanks.

IMO, I don't think you would notice enough of a difference to warrant the extra cash. Some opinions may differ lol, but if I were you I'd wait for the next generation of cards, you've got a pretty beasty card as it is. If you really want a performance jump, and your mobo supports it, I'd recommend crossfire too.

No it won't be a significant improvement.

Recommended is to upgrade when the difference in tiers is atleast 3.

No, it won't be worthwhile, not for the money.
And, until AMD fixes it (and independent testing has confirmed), Crossfire is broken and should not be considered a viable option.
