Graphics gone wrong

I have an Nvidia GeForce 9600GT 512 MB.I could play every game on high settings without any tiny lag,recently i got some other graphic card (nvidia geforce 210 1GB DDR3)and when i pluged it in and started my computer there was something wrog with display had the picture was bad,anyway i unpluged it and pluged my oldgraphic card and when i started my computer on windows start was written atempting repair and i accidentally restarted my computer on restart button and when i started it again i loged in my account on windows and when i started the game,when i was in a menu it wasnt lagging but when i started playing the game it started to lag abnormally i reinstalled my windows (i had windows 8) to a windows 7 and it still lags,Please help i dont know what to do i searched all i could on the internet.

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (x64)
AMD Atholon 64x2 3100 mHz
Nvidia Geforce 9600GT 512Mb
M2N68 motherboard
4 GB Ram
 
gt 210 is a very slow card (even 9600gt is not that good in todays games)

try updating your driver, but may i suggest that if you want to play games with good fps, invest more money on it and get a decent psu also. but yes a 9600gt was good during its time.

I am planing to buy a gtx 680.I updated my driver to last version but still lagging i dont know what happend i played games on max resolution and settings with my gt 9600 but when i tried gt 210,then pluged gt 9600 back it lagged so much
that my computer shut down when i play chicken invaders,the graphic card couldnt weaken that much or not.
