After attempting to upgrade the BIOS in my HP P7-1154 the screen will not display POST and the keyboard is non-responsive.

I am thinking of removing the still good AMD A6-3600 CPU and installing a new mobo. However, since I cannot update the BIOS of the P7-1154's AAHD3-HB mobo without the same issue happening which put me in this situation, I want to install another kind of mobo.

Any suggestions?

I actually had tried that, but to no avail; even removed the CMOS battery for a minute. No change. Was able to get to POST once, but without another BIOS to flash or some means to rollback the BIOS to a previous version it seems moot.

Newegg currently lists eleven different AMD Socket FM1 motherboards with Micro-ATX Form Factor.

I couldn't tell you if the wiring on a HP case makes it an easy swap. Your operating system is tied to the previous motherboard so the license will likely be no longer valid on a different motherboard.

I decided to just buy a replacement motherboard AAHD3-HB. Was worried that if I installed another type of 'board the HP other hardware might not recognize it and would put me back to square one.

Thanks for the help.

Hey,
I am having a similar problem with the AAHD3-HB mobo. Did you get the replacement mobo to work? Was your OS recognized?--or did you have to purchase a new one? Where did you get your mobo? I can't find a supplier, including HP!
