Hello everyone,

in some near time i will be building a new pc and since my budget is fairly limited i decided to go with an AMD processor,to be correct with th 8320.

I am not sure however will choosing a lower-end mbo with 970 chipset have any impact on:

1. performance
2. overclocking capability

I don't plan to do some serious OCing, maybe get the processor up to 4GHZ maximum

Also can you help me with the actual board,i have considered two:

ASRock 970 Extreme3
Gigabyte 970A-DS3

The gigabyte one is slightly cheaper an has one more sata port so it's my prefference, but please take a look at the specs, maybe you notice some important differences i haven't...

Solution
get a gigayte one as gigabyte would be a good one for overclocking and in overall performance.
And the money you save utilise it for buying a good cooler for your cpu as you want to oc it to 4Ghz.
Get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Cooler it is cheap and has very good cooling capabilities.

thanks both of you..

It's is going to be the Gigabyte one then. And i will try to get the cooler,if not when purchasing the whole build then when i'll have the money since these coolers seem to be cheap. And of course i'll wait with OCing until i get the cooler ;)
