PC Won't Boot, Black Screen & Many Beeps

Hello,

I recently got my hands on an old computer, and decided to upgrade the motherboard, the ram and the psu. Now my computer will not boot properly. The computer screen remains black, and the motherboard makes many fast short beeps.

Here is the video of what happens when I attempt to boot the new system:

http://youtu.be/HL--BrTtr4w

The build:

G41MT-S2PT Motherboard
Corsair 4gb Ram Stick (single)
DDR3 1333MHz, CL9 DIMM (maybe the clock speed of this ram is too fast for
the mobo? I don't really now what CL9 DIMM means)
750w Ultra LSP
Hard drive

I ruled out all but two, by trying the all the following components with the old motherboard (they worked):

CPU, PSU, Hard drive

The only two new remaining components with which the system has not worked so far are the Motherboard and the ram. I'm trying to figure out how to proceed from here.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Ram is the problem, I'm about 95% sure. It's not working well with either your mobo or CPU.

Have you made sure the BIOS for your mobo is updated? Reset the CMOS?

You said you upgraded the RAM, have you tried putting the old RAM back in and seeing if it boots?

What kind of processor do you have in it?

I also upgraded my motherboard.

My processor is core 2 quad Q6700. The new motherboard is supposed to support it.

And I can't try a different RAM stick, because the old motherboard used DDR2. But I noticed something that might be a bit of a problem: the box says that the motherboard can run DDR3 at 1333, IF OVERCLOCKED. The speed for of my ram is 1333, and my motherboard is not overclocked. Could the Ram be too fast for my mobo?

And I haven't been even able to access the BIOS with this motherboard.

I am having this same exact problem with the same exact mobo. Awhile ago my old rig quit and I narrowed it down to what I thought was a mobo issue. Now the thing won't POST and gives me the same beep codes. I had DDR2 800MHz RAM in the old mobo and I upgraded to new Kingston HyperX Blu 1333MHz.

It COULD be the RAM speed but that doesn't explain why my old rig stopped working, unless the DDR2 RAM died and that was the problem all along...

I've tested every single component with no luck yet. I'll try the DDR2 RAM in the new board and see if it works. My old mobo indicated that the CPU was improperly mounted or damaged but I tested it in a friends rig and it worked fine. The new mobo beep code (as you've shown) indicates a power error which doesn't make any sense. /frustrated

If you get the same beeps than it's porbably your RAM. I think the mobo is not very compatible with newer RAM, because I installed an older RAM stick with the same specifications and it works fine now. This mobo is probably just outdated
