Going to be purchasing a Intel Core i5 3570K running on a ASRock
Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Z77. Current graphics card is 660 TI.

Plan to OC to 4.5 Gigs, so trying to find the best set of RAM for Gaming purposes. I do not use desktop for video/voice editing, or heavy work loads.

Money isn't really a problem, but not interested in over spending for meager gains. Not sure if going 16 Gigs or higher hurts me either.

ddr3 1600 1.5v is about all you need to know. Look at the Memory Supported List for your Mobo and pick something off of there.

8 Gb is plenty for gaming. If you do video editing , rendering etc then 16 gb would be helpful.

*edit* forgot to add. You may want to find "low profile" memory. Since you have the 3570k and are overclocking. Assuming you are getting an aftermarket cooler. make sure the cooler clears the memory. Low profile just about guarantees this

grab the cheapest 8gb 1600mhz cl9 1.5v kit of ram you can pick up which happens to be this at the moment

Yes; I will be running a Corsair H100i in a Corsair C70 Case, so low profile will not be an issue.

Was debating something like http://microcenter.com/product/385180/Ballistix_Tactical_16GB_DDR3-1600_(PC3-12800)_CL8_Desktop_Memory_Kit_(Two_8GB_Memory_Modules) since it has decent voltage along low latency.

Well under heavy load the H100i has out performed almost everything I've seen such as the Thermalright Silver Arrow Dual Fan and runs more silent which isn't cheap by any means -- and something like the Evo doesn't even remotely compare. It's under work load OC'ed that I care about.

What other suggestions would you have? For a $100 dollar price point the C70 Case tends to hit the spot pretty well when you especially take into consideration it's built to have the H100i mount perfectly on top.

lets say the h100i goes up against something like a d14 from noctua or a tc14pe from phanteks. at most it will perform better by 3c which will not make or break a overclock and it will have to spin up the fans at much higher speeds to do so. in this case, you are paying 40 dollars more for louder fans and a meager 3c improvement in temps? and also note, you can run a heatsink passively even with a minor overclock and it wont come close to overheating

a smaller model. 2c behind, but half the price yet again

this case is built way better

Currently Micro Center is offering the i5 for 169.99 with an additional $ 40 off the MB, so seems to work out to be a better deal not to mention the ASRock Extreme4 lot better than the ASUS one.
