I have Toshiba Satellite L455D Home Premium, Windows 7, 32 bit. Started with windows crashes and Blue Screen crashes. Now at startup a message says, Hard Drive Failure Imminent. Backup all files. Any suggestions? I have a full backup and created a system image. What was the cause and are there any simpler fixes? Thank You for any Help...

Solution
It's the life span of the HDD that is ending, not much to do about it. If you made all the back-ups needed, you can just get a new HDD and restore the system image to that one.
Sometimes, zeroing the HDD gives some life back to it, at least for a few weeks/months. But the failure is still imminent, because the moving parts inside are reaching their end.
