Will the LEPA N series N500-SA PSU be enough for my PC?

I'm trying to upgrade my HPE with a better graphics card, specifically a Radeon HD 7870. it suggests a 500W PSU but I just want to make sure that's enough for my computer. Besides the GPU that I'm installing, my desktop also has a 6-core CPU as well as basic DVD-RW and multimedia drives as well as 8GB of RAM (4x2GB). Any information about the PSU and its compatibility with this GPU would be appreciated!

Good choices but not modular ^

The 7870 even under a heavy load will draw only about 285 to 290 watts.Even with a 7870 myst or xt edition the draw is about 350 watts,so a quality 500 watt PSU brand like Corsair , Seasonic , or Antec , or XFX made by seasonic will be more than enough.

Spend a little more on a quality PSU , you won't regret it. :D

Thanks for the recommendations! I actually went with the SeaSonic PSU that you recommended, since a modular PSU wasn't that important to me. Thanks again for the help!
