Wait 2 weeks and see how much the GTX 780 and GTX 770 will be released at. The 770 should be 5-10% faster than a 680 and cheaper.

The 1st GPU is fine. The only difference between the two is the 2nd one has 4GB vram instead of 2GB.

Unless you're HEAVILY modding games (like skyrim especially), you will NEVER need more than 2GB in the next couple of years...

Actually, the 1st one is better. Its core clock is overclocked to 1137mhz where as the 2nd one is at the stock clock of 1006 mhz.

Ok thanks. I didn't think of that but if you had to choose which 680 is better?

I bet it's gonna be the same as basically every other GPU launch... short supply and prices go up a ton for a couple months after release...

Supply should not be short since 28nm is a mature process now. When the 680 was released there were still yield issues.

Personally I would go with an EVGA or a Gigabyte that's $100 cheaper.

No reason to pay crazy prices for a card that's about to be discontinued. Pretty sure the 780 will be in the same price range as those Asus cards and the 780 is a Titan lite and will destroy the 680. Wait 2 weeks. The 780 is released on May 23. The 770 is a slightly upgraded 680 and will be 5-10% faster. It will be released the 30th.

Personally i would be all over that Asus TOP for its high factory overclock, cool temps, and really, really quiet fans, heavily modified PCB, with an efficient VRM design to produce low temperatures, improved voltage regulation circuitry, much better Chil controller , specially binned chip and voltage control and monitoring support that you won't find on most other non-reference cards. However you could just get a 670 which isn't to much slower and it cost you 100 dollars less.
