ive purchased a new motherboard (Gigabyte GA-F2A85X-UP4 Socket FM2 AMD A85X Chipset) and AMD A10-5800K processor and am trying to set it up with the hard drive from my old computer (seagate 9sl154-515) the manual says when turned on it should go into bios setup but instead attemps to boot and fails at a blue sceen of death.

The os from the old hard dive will not work with the new mobo. You need to install a fresh copy of the os. Unplug the hard drive from the mobo and it should go into the bois if the cpu and mobo are working.
