Currently I have the asus p5p43td MOBO and have wanted to upgrade my ram for a while. I finally broke and bought the corsair vengence. I'm not huge on personally upgrading my computer and I have ran into the black screen issue. I've done a lot of reading and currently don't fully understand how to setup the bios or anything. I have read other people get their stuff working. Any help would be great thank you.

Hello.

#1 - Check if all the connections are made properly.
#2 - Update your motherboard's BIOS to the latest version and then try the next process. (Install just the old memory to update the BIOS)
#3- If the above is a Yes, then remove all the memory modules and install the ones which you have bought recently. Try one module at a time and see if boots and repeat the process with the next module.
#4 - If one module boots and the other doesn't then one might be defective or incompatible and the answer is the same if both or more modules are defective or incompatible.

If you are not sure how to try these process or if it seems gibberish to you then submit an RMA as mentioned in post #2 and try a different vendor.

Hope everything goes well with the troubleshoot (and the upgrade:D). Aloha
