how to allocate the space in hard disk

i have purchased 500gb harddisk and i have intel 915g chipset p4 3.2 ghz can u please tell me how should i partition my drive into c,d,e,f so that i can install the os currently when i start my pc it goes to boot menu which is f2 i dont know what to do after that please help me out

Insert the Windows 7 dvd in the dvd drive, start the computer, press F2 for the boot menu, select the DVD drive and install Windows 7 by following the instructions on the screen. It's not rocket science.

If you don't have a hard drive that contains an OS in the system anymore, you will just have to insert a Windows CD/DVD and install it. During the installation you will get the option to make multiple partitions.

if i load os cd should i press any button or it wil take it automatically as i want to install windows 7 basically without os cd whn i on the system it asks me to select F1 or F2

You want to install Windows 7 without using a CD for it? You need something to install it from. Either a DVD or usb flash drive.

If you can enter your boot menu by pressing F2, press it with the DVD in and choose your dvd drive as the boot device.

i have windows 7 dvd and i have DVD Rom so wil it help me to install it>
