im going to build a new cpu and was wondering what processor to choose

earlier I was going to buy i5 3570k (ivy bridge one) but now I saw AMD FX 8350 and saw that it has 8 cores.....I really don't know anything about about AMD processors

THEY BOTH ARE OF THE SAME PRICE(IN INDIA)

so should I buy the amd FX 8350 or 3570k
which one is better

im buying for playing games on 1080p

my full specs are

Well, According to some research (but no real-world Experience), i would say get the Intel i5. AMD has a reputation of building CPU's with a lot of cores, and unless you do a lot of heavy video editing/rendering, 4 cores would be enough.

Anyways, only some games use multi-core processing. Others rely on gpu somehow. But the decision is up to you!

intel 3570k is the best video gaming processor on the market at it's price.
AMD 8350 is the best multi-task/threaded processor on the market at it's price.

It would seem you should get the 3570k. Or the 3570 If you don't want to overclock.

If you are just looking a CPU for gaming, 8 cores are overkill.
The quad core 3570K will serve you better and is more efficient in power consumption.

+1 Core i5 3570K. For those who know me and have me do their builds, you’ll know that it’s just about the best processor you can get for the money today. With plenty of performance, top notch overclocking capability and enough horsepower to run any game you throw at it, the choice is a no brainer.

As you are buying for games, I would get the 3570k.
