I installed my ram, and left everything in the bios to be ran by auto mode with no modification. After awhile I got bored... checked the memory sticks and saw the setting of 4/4/4 12 so I got into the bios and set it to that. I think I made my memory safer.. but slower following this setting. What do you think?

I swear that I thought I paid for 800Mhz ram, not 400Mhz, which was awhile ago.

CPU-Z Link

RAM : 4096 MB DDR2 Dual Channel
RAM Speed : 400 MHz (3:4) @ 4-4-4-12
Slot 1 : 2048MB (6400)
Slot 1 Manufacturer : OCZ
Slot 2 : 2048MB (6400)
Slot 2 Manufacturer : OCZ

I just think that something is wrong, because when I start up my computer - I get some message about my memory being in 128Bit timing or something like that.

I am @ work now, but I can post pics later of the startup and my bios if needed.

I swear that I thought I paid for 800Mhz ram, not 400Mhz, which was awhile ago.
It's SLI-Ready - if that matters - though I dont have 2 gpu installed atm.

Thanks in advance.

It's Double Data Rate (DDR) memory. This means that it does run at 800MHz, but some programs might report it as 400MHz. Your memory is running at the right speeds and as far as i can remember, 4-4-4-12 are good timings for DDR2.
