I have the exact same problem as others with the Adata Classic 94 external hard drive not being recognised by my macbook. My macbook is partitioned though and, after confirming that the Adata HDD was accessible on a Dell PC, I opened it successfully in the bootcamp HD on my macbook. No problem. I shut this down and again tried opening on my macbook and got exactly the same error message as before -The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer. So there is nothing wrong with the Adata HDD but the macbook won't recognise it.
