Hello, I recently upgraded my graphics card and barely noticed the FPS increase if at all. The main game I play right now is minecraft. My fps is always at 10-20 and I just got a new card and it barely raised the fps by 5... It's an AMD Radeon HD 7970.

My current PC specs:
CPU - i7 920 2.67GHz
Mem- 18GB

I figured my CPU was too old to even render this graphics card worth the buy. (any input on this would be appericated.)

Anyways so I decided to just build an entire new PC using this new graphics card I bought. I also bought a SSD just for the OS and installed that so I will take that out and use that for the OS again when I build the new PC.

So the parts I have right now is
AMD RAdeon Hd 7970
120gb SSD

I need everything else.

I want the computer to be able to play minecraft and battlefield4 when it comes out at high settings with great FPS. I also like to stream on www.twitch.tv as I have a really great internet connection. Any help is greatly appreciated. My budget is around 1500$. Thanks

Yeah, it was bottlenecking it. Unless you were OC'ing it a lot, and even then you probably will have a bit of bottlenecking with such setup due to the extremely high GPU power.
For your specs, try and re-use your HDD.
Get the:
3570k CPU
Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler
asrock z77 extreme 4 MOBO
Re-use your ram if you can.
and hx 750 PSU
These are stuff I'd recommend.
Good luck with finding the parts!

Thanks for the help so far i have until 5/20 for that deal so I'll hold off and see what other people might say. Also I do have a TX 850W powersupply so I may reuse that. Also my HDD is pretty small so not sure if i will reuse its a raptor 280gb.

Also my ram might be a bit outdated I'm not really sure how to check the specific specs on that without going into the bios.

To check the specs, get a program called CPU-z and tell me if it is DDR2 or DDR3, and what the speed of it is (mhz).
That PSU will be great :)

Ok I got CPU-Z here is the results of my memory - Size- 18432 , Channel # Triple DDR3 NB Frequency 3199.9MHz DDRAM Freq- 800.0 MHz

Should I reuse this or buy new ones?

You could reuse the RAM in theory but the clock speed is kinda low.

That ^, you might be able to overclock it on your new pc though.
