This is going to be my first build and I have about $800 dollars to spend including OS. I've read some threads around here and you guys seem to know a lot about the subject so I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: 1-2 months

Budget Range: PC: 700-800

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming/Surfing/Video Editing/Music

Are you buying a monitor: No

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg/Amazon

Location: New Jersey

Parts Preferences: AMD

Overclocking: In the future

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I want a nice looking case because its going to be sitting on my desk. Also, it needs to have at least a 1TB hard drive. I don't need an SSD but if I can afford it, that's great!

for about that price range i'd consider buying from a company such as cyberpowerpc.com and compare the final cost with a build others will help you figure out using tiger/newegg. sometimes you can get better specs for the same price around that price range from buying from a building company, since they get wholesale prices. just a thought. i'd help you but i gotta take a huge dump.
