I fancy a dabble into first person shooters having seen mates play them , sorta got a bit addicted.

Would a i5-3470 and an HD 7850 be ok for crysis and cod ?

Ive been playin a free game on steam Blacklight Retribution and enjoying it.

I have a 800gts and e6600 so obviously I'll need to buy from scratch with a new board ect...

Any advice ?

Cheers.

What's your resolution and budget? It should work OK, assuming you're not expecting everything maxed out. CoD has always been a fairly light game on the hardware, and Crysis (assuming it's no. 1 or 2) is finally at the point where it can be played on mid/low end hardware fairly well. Crysis 3 would be a struggle perhaps, but even on low/medium settings, the game is stunning.
