pci serial bus controller on motherboard error

i have a dell vostro 1510 with windows 7 and when i turn my computer on i get 3 error messages
pci serial bus controller on motherboard
pci on motherboard
pci mass storage controller on motherboard

i cant seem to get it running now its been off a few days and today that i turned it on it actually boot up normally i get a message that 40 updates were needed so i accept the updates and when it said restart now after the udates i pressed restart now and it went back to the error message again and wont boot up what can i do??

  1. Check the Dell support site for the curent set of drivers against that systems service code. Get the latest for the Chipset and any other driver that is NOT the sound card. Likely that are either Intal or Broadcom

    but i can't even go pass the error messages how im i suppose to download anything to it?
  3. Genuine Windows Vista Business, there are no updates for Windows 7 OS, it's strictly a Vista OS laptop.
    Not good for anything but Office apps.

  4. you will need to access the information from another system, download it, go into safe mode and install the drivers. It may required uninstalling the Device from the Device Manager in Safe Mode and rebooting normally in order to update the drivers from the USB or burning them to a CD you can use
