Alright so I have been trying to enable SLI for my 680's and I have had no luck in doing it right so far. When I try to enable SLI in my Nvidia Control Panel it does not show up where it is supposed to. This is apparently because I have different VRAM sizes on each card (4gb & 2gb). Well anyways, I was told to go and get this hack which is even recommended by Nvidia to fix the issue with cards that have different VRAM so they will run in SLI. Well, I use CoolBits and create a thingymabob in the regedit and it works. It now shows the option to select SLI in my Nvidia Control Panel so I select it. When I do, and then click apply my Control Panel crashes and it basically deletes my drivers for the video cards. I have to re-install them every time this happens and I have done so many things to try and fix this but it does nothing.

My Rig
CPU: Intel i5 2500k (OC 4.2 GHz)
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming
4x4gb Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600MHz
Graphics Card 1: EVGA GTX 680 4gb
Graphics Card 2: EVGA GTX 680 2gb
Hard Drive: 1TB Western Digital Black
Power Supply: OCZ MKIII Silencer 750w
Computer Case: NZXT Switch 810
Cooling: Corsair H100i
OS: Windows 8 x64 Pro with Media Center
Monitor: Asus VE248H 24in
Mouse: NAGA 2012

What I have done:
- Tried the latest WHQL and beta drivers.
- Reinstalled Windows 8

At this point I am so lost and have no idea what the hell to do. This is where I hope someone can give me a push so I can get this issue fixed and start ripping games up with my SLI 680's. I appreciate any help at all that you can offer!

It's all good man! Thanks for your help anyways, I am just not sure what to do... It seems that Nvidia has strayed away from having different VRAM on SLI cards.. Looking like I will have to sell one of my 680's and get the same version :( ((((

Might help if you emailed Nvidia or Msi directly for support if you dont end up getting more responses here or else where before making your decision to sell.
